Ikebukuro Brewing has released their first original craft beer. The Norwegian Urban Cat.
You can find it in their record shop located 10 minutes from the Ikebukuro station, they have both bottles and draught beer available.
Bottles are also available online in their webshop (link further down).

IPAなのに苦味がほとんどないのは珍しいスタイルです。フルーティな香りで後味もウィート感がしっかりしています。
ウィートモルト以外にはフレークドウィートとフレークドオーツも混ざってるのでかなり飲みやすいです。
初ビールですが、オーナーのこだわりが詰まっており、酵母はノルウェー産のKveik「Lutra」が使われています。そのため甘みやエステルをよく感じます。

For an IPA it has relatively low bitterness, making it very easy to drink. It has a fruity aroma to it, and the wheat flavours linger in the aftertaste.
In addition to the Wheat malt, Flaked Wheats and Flaked Oats are also blended which makes this beer very easy to drink.
They wanted to use the Norwegian Kveik yeast “Lutra” for their first beer, that is what brings out the sweetness as well as a gentle notes of ester.

次回もどんなこだわりが詰まっているのか、また楽しみですね！

Their second original beer is currently in production, and will be available in April!
This time around it will be a West Coast IPA. I’m certainly looking forward to see what kind of ingredients will be used this time around.
