　「クラフトビアウィーク」とは、全米各地で、この1週間でしか味わえないビールのリリースやクラフトビアのディナー、スペシャルブルワーリーツアーやそれらにまつわる各種イベントが催されるものだ。
　イベントをめがけてアメリカ旅行のスケジュールを組むのも楽しいし、すでにアメリカ旅行の計画がある方は旅程にイベントを組み入れるのも面白いだろう。

The American Craft Beer Week (May 16-22) countdown is on. With less than one month until “The Mother of All Beer Weeks,” we want to make sure this story is on your radar for possible coverage. The rise of craft brewed beer from today’s small and independent craft brewers is undeniable – even President Obama chose to serve a selection of American craft beers at his Super Bowl party this year(story here).

As an annual celebration organized by the Brewers Association/CraftBeer.com, American Craft Beer Week is the largest national effort focusing on American craft brewers. Made up of hundreds of local events around the country, the week toasts the growing community of beer lovers with celebratory happenings including charity fundraisers, new beer releases, festivals, unique craft beer dinners and special brewery tours.

Swamphead Taproom Takeover at Cigar City, Florida – On May 17th, 2011 the guys from Swamp Head Brewery will visit Tampa and will be putting their beer on tap in the Cigar City Tasting Room.

Mountaineer Brewing Company, West Virginia – Mountaineer Brewing Co. will have daily tours and tastings starting at 1pm though out the week with a bang-up open house on Saturday the 21st.

Olde Peninsula Brewpub, Michigan – 5.19.11 – To celebrate American Craft Beer week Brewmaster Dan Kiplinger will be behind the bar from 4pm-8pm pouring some extremely limited edition Special Reserve Ales. Happy hour pricing is from 3pm-7pm every weekday as well! Come meet our Brewmaster and try a couple new beers!

Connecticut Brewery Tap Takeover! At Prime 16 Tap House + Burgers, Connecticut – Support the local beer scene! We’ve invited all of Connecticut’s Breweries to takeover the taps to showcase the best craft beer brewed in the state. Come on down and have a chance to meet some of the brewers as well.

Old Chicago Craft Beer Mini Tour, All Locations – Old Chicago restaurants have been proud to support the art of craft brewing since we first opened our doors in Boulder, Colorado in 1976 and still today with the introduction of our first Craft Beer Mini Tour.
